This project was born during the preparation of an exhibition that took place in 2006 at two Dutch galleries. The source is based on a set of rupestral sketches found at Valltorta´s cave in Spain, showing to us hunters in action conceived in a stylized and energetic way.
Right away I captured these images, guiding my work since the beginning and believing that is our genetic memory that opens way to these vocabularies. Therefore I understand that it has a strong iconological meaning, as well as other images and attitudes that follow us day by day. In a certain way, the intentions of this artistic project are the connections none perceptible of our primitive with this animal being that we are today.
